Melissa Metz is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) --- a food and nutrition expert, who after graduating with a bachelor’s degree, completes an accredited supervised practice program and passes a national examination.
She received both her Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics and her Master of Science in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Florida, home of the fighting Gators.
She is committed to a lifetime of learning and attends continuing education courses on a monthly basis. She has been practicing as an RDN for over 15 years and has worked in a variety of areas including pediatrics, public health, diabetes education, academics and nutrition consulting.
She has a passion for using a science-based approach to identify potential underlying causes of health problems and offers nutrition counseling tools and support to help people improve total health.
In her free time she enjoys music, being outdoors, and most importantly spending time with her husband, John, of 20 years, her two daughters, Grace and Lilly, and their peekapoo, Coco.
